• Economic Concerns: Inflation, job losses, the rising cost of living – these weren't really major topics in the pre-election debates. At least, not the way they should have been. I mean, who doesn't worry about putting food on the table? My bad on that one. Next time I'll be diving way deeper into the economic concerns of the voters.

• Social Media's Role: The sheer amount of misinformation circulating online… it was nuts. I mean, I'm pretty good at spotting fake news, but even I got caught out a few times. You gotta be extra careful; always cross-check what you read. This really brought home the importance of media literacy.

Lessons Learned and Future Predictions (with a pinch of salt)

Okay, so I messed up my predictions. Big time. But I learned a lot.

For starters: Don't rely solely on national-level polling data. You need to dig deep into regional trends, economic factors and local issues. Look at the local newspaper archives, get to know the smaller parties, and talk to people.

And for those who are interested in Maharashtra's political future, my guess is – and it's a pure guess, I’m not promising anything – that the next few years are going to be interesting. There's a lot of political instability, which always leads to new alliances and shifting power dynamics.
