Selawat Journey: Ruhainies Day 33 - A Personal Reflection
Hey everyone! So, Day 33 of my Selawat journey, and honestly? It's been a rollercoaster. I'm talking ups and downs, more downs than ups, to be totally frank. I thought I had this whole Selawat thing figured out by now, but man, was I wrong. This ain't some quick fix, folks. It's a journey, like the title says. And, let's be real, journeys are messy.
The Struggle is Real (and Ruhainies)
Initially, I was all gung-ho. Day one, I was reciting Selawat like a pro. Felt amazing. Super peaceful, you know? But around Day 10, the initial excitement started to fade. Life got in the way – work deadlines, family drama, the usual suspects. I started slacking, missing days, feeling guilty as heck. My niat (intention) wasn't as strong. I felt like a total failure.
This is where the "Ruhainies" part comes in. I know, sounds weird. But for me, the struggle felt like an emotional rollercoaster, kind of like watching a Ruhainies drama. Lots of twists and turns! One minute I'm all motivated, the next I’m completely demotivated. It's been a real test of my willpower and consistency. I even considered giving up a few times.
Tips from a Fellow Traveler (aka, Me)
But I didn't give up. And that's what I want to share with you today – some tips I’ve picked up along the way that might help you avoid my pitfalls.
1. Find Your Rhythm:
Don't force it. I tried to cram in loads of Selawat at once at the beginning and burned myself out quick. Find a routine that works for you. Maybe it's 10 minutes in the morning, or before bed. Small, consistent steps are key.
2. Track Your Progress:
Seriously. I used a simple notebook. Seeing how many days I've completed helps keep me motivated. It also allows you to reflect on your experiences and see how far you've come. That little visual reminder does wonders for your istiqamah (perseverance).
3. Find Your Tribe:
Talking to friends who are also on a similar spiritual journey really helped. Sharing experiences, both good and bad, makes the whole thing feel less isolating. Don't be afraid to reach out; you're not alone in this!
4. Don't Beat Yourself Up:
I made mistakes. I missed days. And guess what? It's okay. Don't let a missed day derail your entire progress. Just pick yourself back up and start again. This is an important reminder for your spiritual growth.
The Power of Selawat (Day 33 and Beyond)
Despite the ups and downs, I can honestly say I feel a positive change. A sense of calmness has settled in. My heart feels lighter. It's not about perfection; it’s about consistently making an effort. It's a journey, not a race. And honestly, that’s the lesson I learned on Day 33.
So, here's to Day 34, and the days beyond. Join me on this journey? Let's support each other, share our experiences, and maybe, just maybe, we can all find some inner peace along the way. Let me know your experiences in the comments below! Let's keep this conversation going. It would be beneficial to us all. InsyaAllah.
